Interactive Environments edition 2018-2019

The Interactive Environments minor is a full semester course on physical interaction design at an architectural scale. The program involves students from various disciplinary backgrounds and guides them through skill building on experience design and technology for design. The students are introduced to a real world context that is accessible during the course. The latest edition of the minor focussed on empowering people in a co-working office to collaborate and share knowledge while engaging in various kinds of office work activities. The final result of the minor was installed in the office, one interactive environment consisting of six full scale prototypes. Throughout the semester students work individually as well as in teams to prototype towards an optimal design for the ecology of people and interactive installations.
